
Dr. Nayer is a Columbia and UCSD trained cataract and glaucoma surgeon serving the San Diego area. Dr. Nayer's treatment philosophy is to treat every patient as if they were a family member, emphasizing shared decision making and empowering patients with knowledge about their medical conditions and treatment options.
He completed his undergraduate degree in three years at the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar. He went to medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington D.C. and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He did his ophthalmology residency at Columbia University, Harkness Eye Institute and his glaucoma fellowship at UC San Diego Shiley Eye Institute.
Outside of work, Dr. Nayer enjoys playing tennis, basketball, and watching the NBA. He is a loyal Washington Wizards fan.
