Dr. Mishima grew up in Southern California and attended UC San Diego with a BA in biology. After college, he attended Pacific University College of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree. He received his clinical training at the San Diego Naval Hospital and various clinics in the Portland, Oregon area.

Dr. Mishima has been practicing optometry in Southern California for over 30 years. His interests include primary eye care and medical optometry, with an emphasis on post-op care and the diagnosis, treatment, and comanagement of various ocular conditions and diseases of the eye. Outside of work, Dr. Mishima enjoys spending time with his family, taking trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas, exercising, and going on his annual deep-sea fishing trip.
