Dr. Diaz-Ibarra completed her ophthalmology residency and surgical retina fellowship through the Asociación Venezolana para el Avance de la Oftalmología in affiliation with Universidad de Los Andes in Venezuela. She subsequently practiced as a vitreoretinal specialist for eight years, caring for patients with complex retinal disorders and performing advanced retinal surgery.
